Senior Full Stack & Web3 Engineer

Full stack engineer who ships the whole product: frontend, backend and smart contracts.

7 years in production across DeFi and enterprise, from React and Node services to Solidity and Hyperliquid. Founding engineer and team lead along the way. Over $100M has moved through code I wrote.

Taking on senior full stack and Web3 roles, remote-first.

AshDex

Perps, spot and prediction markets on Hyperliquid

  • Next.js 15
  • TypeScript
  • Hyperliquid SDK
  • Wagmi
  • Viem
  • Zustand
  • React Query
  • Tailwind 4
  • +3
Problem
Hyperliquid's own UI is the only serious way to trade the L1. A builder needs a terminal that matches it feature for feature while staying fully non-custodial and easy to extend.
What I built
A Next.js 15 terminal with no backend: WebSocket subscriptions for mids, order book, candles and ledger feed Zustand stores; every action is signed by the user's wallet through Wagmi and Viem. Limit, market, TP/SL and TWAP orders, cross and isolated margin, spot, HIP-4 outcome markets with share split and merge, portfolio and bridge.
Outcome
Live at ashdex.app with a Playwright end-to-end suite that runs every trading flow against a stubbed exchange and injected wallet, so releases ship without touching real funds.

Lizard Poisons Spock

Commit-reveal wagering game on EVM chains

  • Solidity
  • Hardhat
  • React
  • Vite
  • Wagmi
  • Viem
  • tRPC
  • Socket.IO
  • +3
Problem
Sheldon's favourite game, played for real ETH: let two strangers wager on Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock without either being able to cheat, stall, or drain the other.
What I built
A monorepo with a commit-reveal Solidity contract deployed fresh per match, an Express server with Socket.IO and tRPC on Postgres for matchmaking and persistence, and a Vite and React client using Wagmi and Viem across eight EVM chains.
Outcome
On-chain timeouts stop stalling, the server verifies deployed bytecode against the compiled artifact to block malicious contracts, and games survive refreshes through persisted state and reconnection.

HL Tools

Diagnostic tools for Hyperliquid developers

  • TanStack Start
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Viem
  • Hyperliquid SDK
  • Zustand
  • TanStack Query
  • Vitest
  • +6
Problem
Building on Hyperliquid means working across two layers, HyperCore and HyperEVM, and the failures are quiet: an EVM transaction succeeds and nothing happens on HyperCore, a signature recovers to the wrong address, an order is rejected over tick size. Even getting testnet USDC takes a fresh wallet and a $1 activation fee for every faucet claim.
What I built
A hub of eight tools on one typed, decimal-safe protocol core. Cross-layer Trace follows a HyperEVM transaction to its expected and observed HyperCore effect and labels each link observed, inferred or unknown. CoreWriter Workbench decodes and builds raw action bytes and queries all 19 read precompiles live. An asset resolver, signing inspector, order composer, WebSocket workbench and RPC probe cover the rest, and the faucet miner chains up to fifty generated wallets through the testnet faucet.
Outcome
Live at hltools.tech and open source. Seven tools are read-only and need no wallet; the faucet miner is the only one that signs, at about a dollar of net cost per wallet. Signing output matches the official Python SDK byte for byte, and 277 tests replay recorded transactions and sessions against the core.

About

Off the résumé

I am 29, and seven of those years have gone into software that handles other people’s money — the interface, the services behind it, and the contracts underneath.

The origin story is not a noble one. A friend told me Bitcoin was “software that represents money”. I could write software. Therefore, I concluded, I could write software that printed Bitcoin. That was the genius plan. It did not work, and I have been building on-chain ever since.

These days I enjoy the unglamorous half: the state machine behind a trade, the failure case nobody wrote a ticket for, the deploy that stops being scary. When something breaks I want to know why, and that curiosity tends to pull me through the whole stack, interface to contracts. The moment it finally makes sense is still my favourite part of the job.
